Hi, I'm Jeff Goldstein. Here's my story.
I’ve been building high tech sales teams for the last 25+ years.
I spent the first five years of my sales career as an enterprise sales rep with HP, the next 10 years in district sales and regional sales leadership roles and the last 20 years as VP, General manager, and President of high tech subsidiaries of large US based tech companies.
While I’m an engineer by training, my entire career has been spent grinding out a sales number…every week, month and quarter. I’ve always been close to the field, close to customers and partners, and close to the sales teams who make it all happen.
Along the way I’ve worked with a lot of fantastic sales reps and leaders as well as some who didn’t make it. I’ve enjoyed the fantastic rewards that results from success in sales. I’ve also raised two kids and gotten them both out of the nest and on their way …all with the same wife.
Sales Leaders Only.com is all about putting my experience and knowledge together to build a business where I can share what I’ve learned and help other sales professionals ramp to productivity way faster then I did.
I’ve been thinking about building a sales consultancy for some time now, but my very full day jobs kept getting in the way. Now that’s I’ve retired from the daily grind up the hill, I’ve got some time to reflect on the Best Practices that helped me drive growth in all the businesses I’ve been responsible for over the last 25 years (HP, Data General / EMC, NetApp and Veeam).
I believe in technology, your either getting bigger or you’re getting smaller. Zero growth never works for very long….. Growing a business is always way more fun then the alternative of figuring out how to reduce expenses, usually by laying people off. I’ve done both and I can tell growth is way, way better.
